I'm back. Yes, again

Due to complete boredom, I've decided to play with my site again. With any luck, eventually all of this will look a little less horrible.

It's a boy

My sister-in-law finally had her and my brother's first child this evening at 6:37 PM. Congratulations to both of them. I look forward to doing my duty as an uncle: teaching my nephew everything that his parents don't want him to learn. Here are a few pictures of the now-larger family

I'm free

Well, sort of. Couple minor things to do, and then I'm free.

Fun and games

After watching someone in #php struggle with making online Blackjack, I decided to see how quickly I could do it. Here's the result. Feel free to let me know if you find any problems.

Yes, I'm still alive

And I even have a new domain name. This site is now located at http://www.slerman.net. I'll work on putting together a list of the other sites hosted here, so look for it coming soon.

I touched it

My family got tickets to the AHL All-Star Classic this past Sunday and Monday, and a great time was had by all. We got to see Peter and Chris Ferraro and Niko Dimitrakos play. Best of all, they had the Stanely Cup on display at the AHL Hall of Fame exhibit. For a five dollar donation to the Jennifer Ferraro Fund, we got our picture taken with Lord Stanely's Cup. I even got to touch it. As an addition to an item below, Maine beat UNH 3-2 with 6.8 seconds left in overtime at the Whittmore Center. A pass got deflected off Lucas Lawson's skate and into the net. Unfortunately, I may not get the opportunity to say this: "Hey Ayers, you see that third goal up on the scoreboard? Guess what. It's all your fault, sieve!"

Overrated!

That's the chant that started when Martin Kariya scored just 29 seconds into overtime Friday night to send UNH home with a 2-1 loss.

It's been a while

Yes, I really do still exist. Been a little busy lately, between classes and my required Warcraft III playing time. Feel free to look me up on Battle.net using 'Dragnslicer'. For site stuff, I've updated my profile a bit. Primarily, I added links to the groups that I'm in. I've also added a couple things to my page o' random stuff.

School's out for summer

First of all, I'm done with school for the summer. And there was much rejoicing. Yay. Well, it's back to Funtown for the summer. I don't get paid nearly as much as I should be making, but it's an easy job and better than nothing. The Mother of All Games has returned! After much struggling with Java on my Linux server, I finally have Scorched Earth 2000 up and running. Check it out here.

Visitors

Let's see if I can manage to embarass a couple people... We had a couple prospective students stay with us for a couple days this week. Everyone up here definitely had fun, and hopefully so did they. Of course, we'll have to smack them around a bit if they don't come to school here. Steve and Emily, thanks for entertaining us for a couple days, and come visit us again.

Tough loss

Great hockey game Saturday night for the NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Championship. Unfortunately, Maine came out on the wrong side of the bouncing puck, 4-3 in overtime. There are pictures from the past several weeks of playoffs here. Now I get to spend the rest of the semester catching up on my homework. Should be fun and exciting.

Travel time for the band

Playoff time for band. Logged about 30 hours of bus time in the past 8 days- twice to Boston and once to Hartford. Next weekend, it's back to Boston for the Hockey East playoffs. I posted a bunch of pictures from the past week here. Luckily, we're on spring break now, so I get to relax a bit the next two weeks.
